The field started out with a moderate pace thgat quickly changed as Tracy Sweeting, Barron 'Turbo' Musgrove, Laurence Jupp Jr and John Cox picked up the pace and soon it was just the four battling each other.
There were countless attacks, and soon the two stronger cyclist, Sweeting and Musgrove broke away. From that point on they battled, and only at the line Sweeting edged out Musgrove.
In division II, it was just as exciting as Wayne Price and Eugene Heastie came to the line in a hot sprint, but it was Price coming in with the victory.
The juniors also had exciting battles that included flat tires and other obstacles but most of them continued to the end.
Some crashed but just like warriors got up and continued. Others had to stop because of the heat as they rode some 24 miles, but after they were able to receive water, they jumped back on their bikes, continuing the race. But it was young 'Tony Mackey' who pulled off the victory.
Te riders in the junior division are between the ages of 10-14 years old and are demonstrating a love for the sport and showing off their bicycle skills as well.
Overall results: 1st Tracy Sweeting - 2nd Barron Musgrove - 3rd Wayne Price - 4th Eugene Heastie - 5th Alexander Bain.

Mid-week and Sunday afternoon training at the track continues this week. The NPCA's next race the 'Airport Road Classic' is scheduled for Sunday April 27 beginning 7:30am.
