Daylight Savings Time Ends

The Cabinet Office has advised that Daylight Saving Time ended on Sunday, October 29, 2006, at 2:00a.m.

The Cabinet Office also announced that in 2007 The Bahamas will adopt a new policy on Daylight Saving Time.

As a result, Daylight Saving Time will commence at 2:00a.m. on the second Sunday in March, 2007, instead of the first Sunday in April and will continue until 2:00a.m. on the first Sunday in November, 2007, instead of the last Sunday in October.

Consequently, Daylight Saving Time will be observed during the period Sunday, March 11 to Sunday, November 4, 2007.

The Bahamas joins countries such as Australia Canada and the United States in adopting this new system.
