Today (Friday) is the final day that parents would have a chance to get to the track and cheer on their youngsters or join their sons and daughters that may have already competed cheer for their school.
There are 43 schools competing this year from around The Bahama Islands. The meet is not focused on points, but more on, sportsmanship, but if you tell that to the young sprinters, distance runners, jumpers and throwers, they don't want to hear it because they all want to win.
Today the competition will begin at 9am and run until 3pm. Remember, if your going to the Queen Elizabeth Sports Centre the main entrance on Thompson Boulevard has been closed as construction on the new National Stadium gets underway. A new access roadway has been constructed at the Thompson Boulevard and Moss Road intersection to facilitate entry to the Thomas. A. Robinson Stadium.
