Bowling for Dockendale veteran Danavan Morrison took four wickets and Dwight Weakley too two wickets.
Dockendale Titans at bat easily scored 194 runs for the loss of five wickets to win the match by two wickets. Weakley and Morrison scored 71 runs not out and 42 runs respectively. Bowling for Commonwealth, Garth Davis took two of the five sticks that fell.
On Sunday at Haynes Oval, Scotia Bank Paradise won their match against Saint Agnes Lions on run rate average due to rain and bad lighting. Saint Agnes had batted first scored a decent total of 247 runs for the loss of eight wickets.
Youth player Orlando Stewart scored with 48 runs, Orwell Grant and Ray Haniff contributed 30 and 26 runs respectively. Kester Duncan and Gary Bell took two wickets each for Scotia Bank Paradise.
Scotia Bank Paradise scored 145 runs for the loss of three wickets when the combination of light rain and bad light forced play to stop. Aeon Lewin had 56 runs and Andrew Nash 44 runs as the top scores for Scotia Bank. Bowling for Saint Agnes Earl Thomas, Hesketh Dean and Haniff took one wicket each.
Also youth player Gary Bell bid farewell to league fans and players as he played his last match on Sunday with Scotia. Bell was a student at the Hotel Training College in New Providence.
During his years, he thrilled cricket fans with his spin bowling and aggressive batting.
The league will resume play this weekend begin on Saturday with action at Windsor Park featuring the Dynasty Stars taking on Castrol Commonwealth, and on Sunday at Haynes Oval the Police CC will take on Scotia Bank Paradise.
