July 17th, 2009 Cycling Federation National Championships This WeekendWhile the Tour De' France races around the country side of France, locally The Bahamas Cycling Federation will stage its National Cycling Championships set for this weekend Saturday July 18 and Sunday July 19. The course will cover the western end of New Providence and there will also be an exciting one-mile time trial at the National Cycling Track in the Queen Elizabeth Sports Centre.
The categories will include Seniors I, II, III, Under-23, Junior Boys and Girls Under-17; and for riders that may not be everyday cyclists but want to compete at the Nationals there is the Novice Male and Open Female Division.
As usual the federation is encouraging motorists to take extra caution on the streets this weekend.
