Smashing Volleyball Action Tonight - DWD

Volleyball play will continue tonight Friday (Nov. 6th) in The New Providence Volleyball Association (NPVA) at the DW Davis Gym on Wilton Street with a double-header beginning at 7:30pm.

The League also has plans to support a steak out and car wash hosted by the defending men's champions ScotiaBank Defenders, Johnson's Lady Truckers and the Saints on Saturday (Nov. 7th) at Mother Gibson Plaza on Boyd Road Off Nassau Street (Next to DNC Takeout) from 11am to 6pm.
The menu includes steak and jerk chicken with potatoes, corn, and diner roll at a cost of $10.
Meanwhile, in league play on Wednesday past at the D W Davis gymnasium there were two men's matches.
 In the first match, the Champions Club defeated the College Of The Bahamas Caribs in three sets 25-14, 25-22 and 25-11. Muller Petitte led all scorers with 15 kills, two blocks and five aces. Anvard Johnson was the top scorer for the Caribs with six points.
 In the feature match, the Technicians disposed of DaBasement in three sets 25-23, 25-15 and 25-14. Ron Demeritte led the Technicians with seven  points for the win. In a losing effort, Lahaundro Thompson led all scorers with nine points.
